“I’m passionate about MCABC’s advocacy work. This is how we create change and drive our industry forward.

I don’t just think about myself or my business. I think about how we can work to make the industry better for everyone. We’re all in this together.

Through advocacy, our industry gives direction and has a say in the decisions that shape how we run our businesses, how we earn our livings and how we support our customers.”

Robert Marchiori

President and Founder
RAM Mechanical Ltd.

Rob Marchiori was always mechanically inclined. He started his apprenticeship at the age of 20, becoming a pipefitter, steamfitter and then gasfitter.

Self-driven from a young age, Rob knew that he wanted to be self-employed and founded RAM Mechanical in his late twenties. Since its founding in 1994, Rob has grown RAM Mechanical into a well-established business with a solid reputation for quality workmanship, fair pricing and reliable service.

He credits the success of his business to perseverance, drive and a commitment to continuous learning. His advice is to, “work hard and be honest. This industry is based on relationships—integrity and understanding people are crucial.” He also points to grit and determination as key success factors. “In the beginning, I went through the ‘school of hard knocks’ and learned some tough lessons. We all make mistakes, but the important thing is how you learn and grow.”

Rob shares his passion for lifelong learning with his team, continuously investing in training and upgrading skills. “Each member of our team brings a high level of knowledge and expertise in their field, and continues to grow and adapt to ever-changing technologies and equipment.”

In the last decade one lesson Rob has learned is to work on his business, not in it. A key aspect of this is his leadership role in the industry, and his commitment to advance the mechanical contracting industry for the benefit of his business and others’. “Together through MCABC, we can pool our knowledge and resources to have a positive impact that benefits everyone,” he says.

“Mechanical contracting is a great industry that I care a lot about. It has provided me with a good job that provides for my family and my employees, while supporting communities.”
